I've seen a couple of these classes offered online and have been intrigued. You have some beautiful lettering! I can't draw at all and wonder how I'd do with this. I came over from the ROD group too.
Anyone can do it!!! If you are interested in lettering i suggest Joanne Sharpe's class http://joannezsharpe.blogspot.com/ and well as Lori Vliegen class http://elviestudio.blogspot.com/. Thanks for stopping by and letting me share. I really appreciate it.
I love your Letter Love book! Looking through your wonderful work I get the feeling you are an art teacher.
Even though I was in Joanne's class too I came here by way of the EDM group. You have inspired me to go through the lessons again from the beginning. I really liked the circle work and the pages of your pen examples. Was that lesson 6? Interesting how differently we all interpret the lessons.
What part of Kansas are you in? I grew up in Wichita. Nice to "meet" you.
Hi Victoria, Can you tell me the name of the font that is in the page labeled 13, that looks like a stencil font with a flourish? I really like that one and would like to use it. I took JoAnne's class also. If you can post the name here I will come back and look again.
Kate.....I dont know the name of the font. I apologize for not crediting the fonts properly, I didnt think I would share my practice pages at the time. Here are the links I use for alot of my lettering inspiration: handletteringcite, decoratedletter and dancingpencalligraphy. www.letterplayground.com, http://www.alphabetguy.com, http://www.lettercult.com/ I hope this helps!
I found you through the ROD group and really enjoyed seeing your Love Letters lesson work. Makes me want to pick up a pen! TFS. Keitha
