Here is the final Letter Loved Journal. I apologize for the previous post, I tried to add photos from my phone but didn't have the proper editing software. So I have scanned the entire journal and here it is. Enjoy!
This is absolutely gorgeous. The lettering and the paintings work so well together. I would love to know some of your methods of creating the backgrounds.
I only have a couple of stencils. I made two more by cutting designs with craft knife and tag board. Then I spray with whatever I have. I make my own sprays (in small bottles you get bath sprays in). I use liquid watercolors, watered down acrylic, watered down airbrush ink, whatever is handy and spray. Let dry before you add another layer, it doesn't take very long. My favorite stencils are just strips of tag board cut to different sizes and lengths and spray. Pick up, let dry and then drop them again and spray another color. Super simple. Hope you give it a try!
This is a wonderful journal, I love all the different lettering, it's a great idea to dedicate it to letters too. I love journaling, so to make a letter journal is a genius thing to do, so you can remember all those techniques. I love your blog too Vicki, so I'm definitely your newest follower. Michelle x
