Again I return to my favorite medium. I prefer pencil. My hands are drawn to the sensitivity you can achieve with a simple pencil. You can create darks, lights, and various shades in between. It is forgiving and the possibilities are endless.
I like peppers (to eat) but I prefer chocolate!
Loving the light on this! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely - almost looks like a negative!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great drawing. I think that we all need to appreciate the art of the pencil more. Thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDeletelove your "soft" application of lead!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Your students are lucky to have such a talented teacher.
ReplyDeleteThese have a lovely glow! My pencil drawings aren't as alive as yours.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sketch. Yes, chocolate is better but these might be more fun to draw.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more which what you said about learning to see :) And I see a beautiful drawing this one. The brighter parts are just screaming "see I am shiny!!" and the shadows are bringing just enough of those out not to make it over dramatic. I can't say more about pencils, simply because I love them too :)
ReplyDeleteThe shadings are incredible. The far one is almost like a negative. Yes, lucky students!
ReplyDeleteHi there! I´ve just read your EDM post about the pepers and something you said made me think a lot: everyone can draw, you just have to lear how to see. I thinks this is the point of it and you said so wisely! Hope someday I´ll learn this seeing thing! Congratulations for your sketches and the marriage of your daughter.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes
